For the last three years, I have been working as a Sales Representative for Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan where I am responsible for over 100 accounts. My passion was always working with people, and I think I have found my dream job here as representative of the equipment sales department.

As company positions itself as an official dealer of Caterpillar® products, this business realized that it could only grow by putting its customers first, changing the sector, creating the super-premium offerings but also by providing high-level customer experiences, digital solutions etc.

Primarily, I am responsible for the sale of SEM products which became subsidiary of Caterpillar since 2008. SEM product that matches the same quality and performance of Caterpillar equipment at cost-effective rates. My task is to increase the population of SEM brand equipment which was quite a difficult process in the context of pandemic, political instability as well as difficulties associated with logistics.  Perhaps this was the most difficult stage because it was necessary to convince customers to buy equipment and believe in SEM brand which is mostly known as more expensive compared to competitors’ price.

Under these conditions I had to be especially resourceful and aggressive to do my job. Most of the time I made business trips across all regions of Kyrgyzstan. I spent a whole day on the road just for one customer visit. Several customers in the same area were visited when it was possible, it was very effective way to explain and demonstrate our high-value and complex products. Moreover, I was motivating them to purchase our products by offering different payment schemes & promotion offers as we are solution providers for our customers.

We built strong relationship with customers, and they gave their preference to our SEM products. I understood that your best customers are always your current ones; so, world-of-mouth recommendations from them helped me to connect with new customers and further expand the reach of customers. Hence, this approach played a key point in helping me to increase the company’s sales from just 2 units to 13 units of equipment per year which is not bad for our small equipment market. Also, I consider the main achievement to be the attraction of new customers whose share is 86% of the total portfolio today.

I have taken significant time and effort to develop my customer relationships and currently have a 100% satisfaction rating. I have also consistently met or exceeded my sales goals. In fact, I was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan for excellent results in the promotion of SEM products and professional approach, great efforts and flexibility in 2020. This helps me keep my motivation high.

I know that Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan has an exceptional focus on people and always helps us to develop our skills and offers a variety of career opportunities. The ability to participate in complex projects and providing services to our customers at the highest level, combined with the support of our team and manager makes Borusan Cat an organization where I can truly build a long-term career.

Ermek has been working as a Sales Representative in Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan since September 2019. He spends most of his time on business trips, but that's not a problem for him because traveling is one of his biggest passions. His favorite hobby is listening to music.
