Hello theBClog readers, I am Olga Panyushina from Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan. In this article, I want to give you a behind-the-scenes look at what it means to sell in a technical industry and truly connect with the customer. And, of course, how I strike a balance between my work and personal life...

The world of heavy machinery, massive projects, and complex technical solutions is rarely associated with compassion, empathy, or naivety. Making sales and working one-on-one with customers requires high responsibility, tight deadlines, tough negotiations, and the ability to find solutions in moments of crisis. To be honest, this path can sometimes be more challenging for a woman. But I believe this with all my heart: If the work you do excites you, the difficulties of the profession never turn into an obstacle.

In fact, I found my true strength exactly within this contrast. In my work, I rely not only on my sense of responsibility but also on my empathy, kindness, and strong intuition. Being able to understand the person in front of you, read between the lines, and build trust makes every connection you establish much stronger.

I have been working as an Inside Sales Representative (ISR) at Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan for four years. On paper, my job is to coordinate internal processes, ensure communication with my teammates and customers, manage requests, and build bridges between all parties. But looking a little deeper, this job has always been about people rather than numbers for me.

Over the years, I have seen this very clearly: Communication lies at the core of even the most technical jobs. Behind every request and task are real people with expectations and responsibilities. And in those moments, being able to truly listen to someone, find common ground, and stay calm is far more valuable than knowing procedures by heart.

The moments that stand out the most in my memory are usually when deadlines are tight and stress is at its peak, yet the team stands shoulder-to-shoulder for a common goal. The true value of support, trust, and collaborative problem-solving is best understood in times like these.

For me, it is not just about getting a job done; it is about making communication transparent, comfortable, and respectful for everyone involved. I think this is also the reason behind my interest in psychology and human behavior. This curiosity helps me understand people better and maintain my inner balance in challenging situations.

When working with customers, my greatest assets are empathy, my attention to detail, and my ability to stay calm. No matter how demanding the conditions are, I strive to establish a line of communication where the person across from me feels involved and supported.

Of course, I cannot give enough credit to the team here. Whenever I need help or advice at Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan, I can consult my colleagues and managers without hesitation. One of the company's greatest strengths is its supportive atmosphere and strong team spirit. We position ourselves as a "Reliable Solution Provider" and strive to reflect this approach in the work we do every single day.

Staying balanced amidst this fast pace and living life to the fullest outside of work is crucial to me. Because only then can I recharge, find inspiration, and maintain the connection I have with myself.

In my free time, I enjoy social Latin dances like salsa, bachata, and kizomba. Dancing has taught me to catch the rhythm and build trust not just on the dance floor, but in life as well. No matter where you are in the world, you can feel that connection and mutual understanding without saying a single word.

In 2023, I participated in a dance competition and won the title of "Queen of the Studio 2023." This experience showed me once again how incredibly rewarding it is to step out of your comfort zone.

I also love snowboarding because it gives me a sense of freedom and energy. Living in a country where mountains and nature are right next door is a unique blessing. Yoga, on the other hand, helps me maintain my inner equilibrium amidst my busy schedule.

Traveling is another one of my greatest passions. Whenever I get the chance, I set off to discover new places, cultures, and people. Traveling teaches me to look at life from a different perspective. Sometimes, even a brief getaway is enough for me to return with brand new ideas.

While we are on the subject, I would also like to share that, as part of the Borusan Equals initiative, I have started organizing yoga and stretching sessions twice a week for our female colleagues in the office. As a certified instructor, sharing my knowledge and contributing to the well-being of my teammates brings me immense joy.

I firmly believe that today, a woman can successfully take on multiple roles at the same time; she can be sensitive yet determined, fully professional, and still remain herself. The growing number of women working in technical sectors is one of the strongest indicators of this. I am deeply proud to be a part of Borusan Cat Kyrgyzstan—a company that places people at the center of everything and truly values growth.
