As a strong team, we encourage and support each other in our daily work at Borusan Cat. Why not extend this attitude to the sphere of our hobbies?

In fact, setting up the tent, gathering the necessary materials, and hitting the road represented the perfect escape for us from the daily grind. We are a family that loves to connect with nature, travel, and discover new places. We know that the pandemic has changed travel and leisure around the world. We were inspired during our trip along Yedigöller by the people who pitched a tent and were left alone with nature and in complete peace. We started by studying camp life. We have also shared this information with our friends who might be interested. Last year, having plucked up the courage to put our insecurities aside, we took the first step and enjoyed it immensely. Although we, families with children, had some difficulties, each time we made plans for the next camp. In this article, I will tell you about the days we spent with two children in places where the daytime path was full of obstacles, but at night we admired the stars by the fire.

WE WORRY AND ARE A LITTLE BIT TENCE
1.Stop: Zeytinbeli Beach, Yumurtalık, Adana.

There were only three of us in our first campground and of course, we were very excited... The first reason we chose this place is the location close to Adana and the fact that it had a calm and clean beach. And this was quite enough for the first experience. Our son really wanted to start a fire, so we lit our first fire before dark. We (due to the lack of experience) took a lot of food and materials with us, and it was difficult to collect them. However, even though this was our first camp, we had enough of everything, and nothing was forgotten.

2.Stop: Örcün Campsite, Çukurova, Adana.

Camping Örcün was another place where we camped away from the city noises. The campsite is located near the stream between the Seyhan and Çatalan dams, almost equidistant from both. The ground is flat, but the roads are bad. You have to go through muddy and broken roads. Camp residents often have to rescue many cars stuck in the mud on the road.

3.Stop: Kadıncık Dam, Çamlıyayla, Mersin.

The water of the Kadıncık dam is emerald and mesmerizing. It has two sides. We found the most suitable place and, with the help of my son, immediately began to put up a tent. Our tip: There is also a bridge in the area that connects the Çamlıyayla – Pozantı road. We took pictures on the bridge and immortalized our happy moments. We recommend you too to enjoy this view.

  1. Stop: Paradise Anamur Campsite, Mersin.

We can say that the campsite, whose owner is named Bedri, was the most beautiful among the sea campsites with equipment that we saw in Mersin. There is a picturesque garden with date palms and eucalyptus trees, palm trees, Japanese roses, and other plants. Swimming on the sandy beach at the foot of Mamure Castle is also a pleasure. We can say that over time we have become regulars at this place. 😊

5.Stop: Cedruslife Campsite, Erdemli, Mersin.

This place with clean air is ideal for tent camping and caravan trips. Here in the highlands we set up tents and have a picnic among cedars and plane trees, to the singing of birds and the bustle of squirrels. It is a legendary campsite that we visited many times to escape the summer heat of Adana, and there are also many activities (quad bikes, horseback riding, cable car, nature walks). Unlike our other adventures, this is where we tried quad bike racing on the track 😊

6.Stop: Küp Waterfalls, Aladağ, Adana.

The hidden paradise of the Çukurova area. Küp Waterfalls in Adana's Aladağ area and the beauty around it, which won the recognition of wildlife visitors, impressed us as well. We were not able to revisit it due to the curvy roads and their bad condition. For the same reason, I would not recommend you to set up your first camp in this area, but this place is a must for experienced tourists.

7.Stop: Camping Aladağlar Akpınar, Çamardı, Niğde.

An object on the outskirts of the Aladağlar National Park, on the banks of the Ecemiş stream, in the Akpınar Trout Farm. It is a tent city surrounded by apple trees and greenery.

8.Durak: Başkonuş Yaylası Onikişubat, Kahramanmaraş

It is the hidden paradise of the city of Kahramanmaraş. Here, as long as you are in contact with nature, your children can comfortably play around. Here you will find kite festivals, nature walks, quad bike rides, and much more. The facility is attractive for those looking for a little more comfort, as there are electricity, water, toilet, shower, and security services during the stay, and you can feel more comfortable while camping.

We prefer to set up tents in different cities or campsites and discover new places every time. It's a bit of a hassle, but trust me, it's worth it. Every time we leave, we miss the fire, the food cooked in it, the moments spent in nature, unlimited oxygen, and the starry sky. Then, soon after, we find ourselves making new plans.

Yes, camping, in our opinion, is quite a pleasant thing, but, of course, not for everyone. 😊 In nature, it is challenging to find comfort or pleasure like in an all-inclusive hotel, but, of course, what is important here is what exactly a person is looking for. In my opinion, camping is more comfortable and pleasant than an all-inclusive hotel 😊 I prefer a sleeping bag to a soft bed. If you are enthusiastic, I recommend that you try it and decide for yourself. Believe me, it is not such routine work as it seems. Of course, packing up on the way back is never easy, but even when leaving the hotel the suitcase does not close from the first try.

We try to educate our children in love for nature and do not limit them during camping since there is no place to play on the streets. It's an incredible source of happiness to see them enjoy themselves.

New adventures await us.
