From Student to Professional Thanks To Borusan Cat Training Center!

Hello, I am Ani from Borusan Cat Georgia Human Resources. I work as a Learning and Development Specialist. Together with my colleagues at Borusan Cat Georgia, I find it a very enjoyable part of my job to develop innovative solutions to support the local workforce. In this article, I would like to tell you about the Borusan Cat Training Center project we have implemented with Speqtri College.

As Borusan Cat, we take our steps in line with our purpose statement of "We Create Solutions for a Better World" and with the focus of Borusan Holding's "climate, innovation, people". While continuing our projects built on this approach, our priority is always "people". We see people as the most important and the common point for innovations that consider the needs of the climate and generate value. Therefore, it becomes a necessity to find ways to open new pathways for those who dream of working in our field one day. We can already observe the impact of our education center project, which was born with our proactive approach that we value very much, among students.

As Borusan Cat, we have many friends who have graduated from the internship program we have been running in partnership with Speqtri since 2018 and started working with us. With our training center, we are taking our productive and enjoyable cooperation with Speqtri to the next level.

So What Is The Difference Of Our Training Center?

First, as an extension of Borusan Cat's leadership and experience in the sector, we offer everyone who receives training the opportunity to gain unique knowledge and experience about the industry. At the same time, we focus on experience with practice.

School director Mate Takidze also believes in the importance of our training center. He thinks that training students on modern equipment and with experts in their field will be beneficial and will make a +1 contribution to their professional life. Trainings on our machines are prepared for students with sample scenarios and in the closest way to reality.

While the program is under active development, the feedback we have received so far shows that our training center is on the right track. Next steps are going to be obtaining accreditation, permission, and funding from the government. After that, we will welcome whoever is interested in this field to our classes!

While developing our project, Borusan Cat's innovative and education-valuing vision was of course very valuable to us. I would like to thank our Country Leader Başar Güven and Customer Support Department Manager Rafet Kaymakçı, HR & Administation Department Manager Rusiko Chanukvadze and marketing team for emphasizing the value of reaching out to students and technicians and for their endless support in this regard.

I think the importance of our project was also reflected in our opening ceremony. We welcomed very valuable guests. In addition to prominent figures from Borusan Cat and Speqtri, we had the presence of the Consul General for Education Affairs of the Embassy of Turkey, Mr. Suat Kolukirik. Head of the Vocational Education Development Department of the Ministry of Education and Science, Mr. Tamar Kvinikadze. Mr. Petre Tsulukidze, Bilateral Learning Development Coordinator of the Vocational Skills Agency. were among our guests. Once again, I would like to thank all the participants, everyone who contributed and our company for their appreciation of our project.

I wish all our students a great class!
