Our Examples Of Digital Transformation

Borusan Cat conducts a lot of research into various digital transformation processes. One of the first applications in adaptation to digital transformation can be considered Borusan Cat's own flexible and online work culture, introduced even before the pandemic. When the pandemic began, it took just one day for many of Borusan Cat's roles to adapt to fully digital infrastructure. Thus, a new system with safe operations was quickly implemented for the teams, and the service to our customers and business continued uninterrupted.

Another pillar of Borusan Cat's digital transformation processes is the "Müneccim" ("Astrologer"), developed with big data and algorithms. As a result of digitalization with our artificial intelligence application Müneccim, which detects malfunctions in business machines before they occur, we have equipped almost 80% of construction machines with IoT. Millions of lines of data pass from 900 sensors on these machines every day. Thanks to this system, the probability of equipment failure can be measured with an accuracy of 97 percent. In this way, by avoiding breakdowns of machine parts, problems in components that need to be improved in the Revision Centers are eliminated, and spare parts are provided to customers during the inspection. That, in turn, allows the business to run smoothly. Like an astrologer, the "Müneccim" ("Astrologer") can foresee the problems that may arise in the machine with great success.

Thanks to cooperation with professionals in their field on the path to implementing digital transformation, the process of adapting to digital transformation, as close as possible to the ideal, has been launched at Borusan Cat and continues to this day. Graduated from Galatasaray University of Computer Engineering. Joined Borusan Cat in July 2007 as a SAP CRM Specialist. From 2007 to 2010, supported and implemented projects for SAP BW, SAP ABAP and SAP CRM. From 2010 to 2012, completed over sixteen Black Belt projects as Borusan's 6 Sigma Black Belt project. One of these projects received the Borusan Group's Second Black Belt of the Year award in conjunction with the ARGUMAN project, which established a point of operation in Akalan and relaunched our logistics activities. After participating in the 6 Sigma Black Belt, returned to IT as a SAP manager and is now the Head of Global ERP Solutions.
Married and has two daughters named Deren and Selen. Hobbies include playing bridge and cooking. Claims to be good at both. 😊 Some of the many dreams: to travel around the world on a motorcycle, open a restaurant and celebrate his own anniversary there, but the most important dream is to be immortal, and he plans to write a book about it in the future. 😊
