Borusan Cat’s Love for Animals is Beyond Borders

Hello, below we will share the touching stories of the two cats who happened to be guests at the Borusan Cat family.

  1. Location: Borusan Cat Kazakhstan, Head Office

Hello, I'm Nadezhda from the Borusan Cat Kazakhstan team. One spring working day, during the lunch break, we went for a walk around the office with colleagues. At the end of the walk, I heard the plaintive meowing of the cat, I looked around, but I didn't see the cat itself. I called the cat "Kys-kys" not knowing where he was, and a cat came out to meet me. The cat was in a deplorable condition, he had no paws, and his tail was broken, still, he was very affectionate and was clearly hungry. We were afraid that if we left him alone, we would never find him again, so I stayed to look after him while my colleague went for the milk. While we were feeding the kitten, there was no plan in our heads on how to help him. Something had to be done though.

The working day had not yet come to an end, and we had to return to the office. We asked the office administration for permission so that he could stay warm at the security point until we figure out what to do next. Our friendly administration permitted us to leave the kitten at the security point until the evening and find a solution. Our guards treated the task with trepidation and responsibility and sent the cat to warm up at the battery.

After consulting a veterinary clinic, we found out that the kitten needs an operation to amputate the tail and, possibly, sew up the rest of the paw. The cost of treatment was high. We told our colleagues about what happened and decided to open a fundraiser for the treatment of a kitten. I became responsible for that. Many employees, both in and out of the office at that time, made their contribution to the cat's future, so the amount of money necessary for the treatment was collected in just a day.

Fortunately for us, the procedure to remove the tail was not needed, and there was no infection in the missing paw, so he had a chance to live. The cat was on the mend quickly. However, there are plenty homeless cats and dogs in our city, and, therefore, to find a loving family for a pet, you need to make a lot of effort. And so, rejoicing at the quick recovery, we began to think over our next steps.

I already had a cat and was helping a sick neighbor look after her 3 cats, which is why I knew I couldn't get another cat. Colleagues in the office also had more than one cat each; moreover, a year earlier, another kitten was found at the office, he now lived with our colleague at home and became their fourth cat.

We have published an announcement in all social networks, asking for help to find a home for our kitten. The "Kotopes" shelter responded to our announcement, they could not remain indifferent to the fate of the kitten and agreed to take him to the shelter while searching for a better owner. After discharge, the kitten was taken to a shelter, but we continued to publish announcements, hoping to find him a family. And thanks to its beauty, in just 1 day there were owners who could not pass by. And just like that the cat got a loving family.

Since no serious operations were required, the remaining amount from the collection was transferred to a shelter to save others in trouble.

Saving a life is such a pleasure! By assisting helpless beings, their brightest sides are being revealed in people.

This experience warmed our hearts and reminded us what a great team we are. And the fact that the love and compassion of our family have no boundaries is also evidenced by the story of Catty that I heard from Aycan.

  1. Location: Borusan Cat Turkey, CRC (Component Rebuild Center)

Hello, I am Aycan from Borusan Cat Turkey. Catty jumped out of the cab of a truck from a client in another city while the driver was unloading the shipment. After a 500-km-long journey she took at the age of about three months, she found shelter in the CRC in the Head Office of Borusan Cat. Our colleagues buy food for her. She has her own house, but she prefers to sleep in boxes or on tables. Every morning she opens the office door first and never misses a single meeting. She especially enjoys watching the welding team, and she is always at the forefront at meetings at the Machine Shop.

The head of our Component Rebuild Center, Volkan Yayman, used a 3D printer to make a helmet for her because even if one has nine lives safety comes first! If you happen to visit the Borusan Cat office in Turkey, you will hear Catty politely meowing and see her bringing joy to the workshop while being the center of attention wherever she goes!

After Catty joined our family, she had 5 cubs. Four of them were taken in by our colleagues. I do not expect the last kitten to stay with us for long either. By the time you read this article, he may already be adopted. While she is a source of positive energy for all of us at the Component Rebuild Center, we sometimes worry about Catty and her babies. So while we will miss them, our priority is that they all find a warm and loving family.

Whether Borusan Cat Turkey or Kazakhstan, we know that we have many stories that emphasize the value of life and have the same focus wherever they are in the world! Even though we are separated by distances, we carry and spread the same goodness in our hearts.

I am proud and happy to be part of the Borusan Cat family, who will work together to solve the problem in both our daily work and our social life, take the responsibility to do what is necessary without hesitation, and will not stop until the task is completed.

I hope everyone will find the will, strength, time, and support to help those in need.
